Bill has published numerous articles in various legal periodicals over the years, including the Campbell Law Review, North Carolina Central Law Review and the journal of NC Advocates for Justice, among others.  He is also the author of "Pioneer Paddling Colonial Carolina", which is out of print but still available on Amazon.

If Trees Could Testify..., a mystery novel based on the true story of a cold case murder from 1983, is now available through the website iftreescouldtestify.com, Amazon, and numerous other media outlets.  Bill was the principal defense attorney in the actual case, which captivated a small mountain community and still leaves many with questions that may never be answered. The novel won a Gold Award from Literary Titan in December of 2022.
